This stone was very key in locating the Gregory Family Irish descendants. The knowledge of the Gregory’s origin place in Creggan Parish in the county of Armagh would have been lost if it wasn’t engraved in this headstone.
The headstone erroneously has Frank Gregory's birth year as 1878. Baptismal records indicate that Frank was born in 1876.

John Gregory, of Creggan Parish, had only one son, John S. Gregory. He married Rebecca Hunter in 1874. Rebecca Hunter Gregory’s mother, Rose Devlin (1828-1893), re-married Michael Mohan (1830-1893) after her husband, John Hunter passed away in Ireland. This created a very strong bond between the Gregory and Mohan families.
