The Crossmaglen Rangers G.A.C are a Gaelic football club from Crossmaglen in County Armagh. The Club was founded in 1905 and play in Black and Amber colours. Their home football ground is St. Oliver Plunkett Park which was opened in 1959. The occupation of the grounds in 1971 of an Royal Ulster Constabulary barracks and a British army observation post to combat republican terrorism and criminality started a saga of confrontation and conflict between the Rangers Club and the Army which has prevailed ever since.
